Boxes, Boxes... More Boxes

Yesterday I began moving into the apartment I'll share with my Ryan!

The first thing I did when I walked in the door? Performed my ritual of removing the scent of paint and new carpet... and this time, old people...

There's at least one of these in every room..

And the first thing I want to get rid of is...

I seriously hate brass.

Happiest moments of yesterday:

1. Ryan kissing me.

2. Spending time with my soon-to-be sister, Melissa.

3. Walking into our apartment with Ryan, and giving him his key.

4. Not hearing 2 labs running back and forth on the floor above me.

Now I must organize and wait for my washer & dryer, and the internet guy. Woot.

Sneezing and Snow

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the first snow of the year came with a bang! I can't say that was a happy bang... {that's what she said}

Happy moments of the day:

1. My ring was re-sized from a 6 to a 4 within 1 hour!

2. The snow {although freaking freezing} was beautiful and peaceful.

3. Ryan called me his "beautiful fiance". I'm HIS fiance!

4. It's finally cold enough to make my spicy version of my Grandma's veggie beef soup! WOOT!

5. This is my last day to live in an apartment with roommates!!!!!

Jesus loves you. Oh HAPPY day!

A Box of Chocolates

Ryan and I are officially engaged! Here's the story:

We were supposed to go to a pumpkin patch tonight {or so I thought}. However, with me running late coming home from a photo shoot, and with Ryan trying to get home from work.. we {he} decided we didn't have time. We grab some dinner at Rumbi {yummy!} and he suggested that we walk around Murray Park {one of my fav shooting spots}. I decided it would also be a great idea to get some frozen yogurt and freeze our tails off eating it while we walked around the park {we did this on our first date at a little gazebo in Draper}.

Now it is important for me to tell you that the earlier part of the day was pretty crappy. Ryan kept saying he was going to buy me chocolate. Once we get to Murray Park, he hands me a BIG box of See's Chocolates {MMM!!!} And we walk around the park.. he keeps suggesting we sit.. and I keep saying no. Finally, in front of the gazebo, I am forced to sit. He asks for a piece of chocolate {btw, this box was nicely giftwrapped by the fine people of See's}, so I start unwrapping. I open the box, expecting to see my ring sitting in one of the cups.. and it takes me a few seconds to realize a ring box is sitting in the middle of the candies. I look up and Ryan is on one knee and he pops the question!!! Annddd.. I said YES! :D
